Our meetings are usually held on the last Monday of the month, except for holiday weekends, the summer months and the month of December.

The Viking Ship “Freydis Joanna” was built in Roskilde Denmark for the Danish Canadian National Museum in Dickson, Alberta.

The Ship will be at the Scandinavian Centre September 11th.  Please join us for the official opening at 11:00 am to hear speakers, or anytime until 4:00 pm to see the ship and watch videos of building the ship and her transport across Canada.

There will also be entertainment by the Reik-Felag Viking Group and the Scandinavian Dancers.

Admission by donation. Light snacks and refreshments will be available during the day.
